What can you say about a politician that says he favors “free markets,” but consistently votes to expand government and compete with private businesses? You could say he has a forked tongue. Or you could say he panders for votes with his rhetoric, but reverts to his true character when elected.
Councilman Yammersen gets up on his proverbial soap box to tell anyone who will listen that he is a “free market” advocate and that government should not compete. However, his voting record paints a completely different story as he consistently votes to support expansion of government and completion with private businesses.
The characters in this humorous video are fictitious; however, they are based on the real life stumblings and bumblings in many small towns, maybe one near you.
