The Arizona Highways Travel Show is a major two-day travel show being held this weekend in Phoenix. It is an ideal venue to expose Prescott to potential visitors from Phoenix and Tucson and other parts of Arizona. However, the only Prescott representative at this major travel show was Prescott Frontier Days, Inc. They are the sponsors of the rodeo. Not a single representative from the City of Prescott or its Office of Tourism was in attendance!
Carlo Pastore, President of the Prescott Frontier Days board was there with other volunteers from that organization. They were astounded to see no other representatives from the City of Prescott, the Prescott Chamber of Commerce of the City of Prescott Office of Tourism. Many other towns and cities across Arizona had multiple organizations representing them; however, Prescott only had the Prescott Frontier Days representatives.
