Round Rock Texas picks Steve Norwood — updated

The Round Rock Texas City Council tonight picked Prescott AZ City Manager Steve Norwood as the finalist for their City Manager position. They conducted an Executive Session at 6:00PM (Texas time) to discuss selection of a new city manager. The Regular Council Session, scheduled to start at 7:00PM began about 15 late, possibly indicating extended discussion in the Executive Session.

In the November 25 Daily Courier, Cindy Barks reports that “…Norwood, 46, said he hopes to firm up some of the projects he has worked on in Prescott…””Obviously, Cooperstown is one of them,” Norwood said, referring to the city’s ongoing exploration of bringing the Cooperstown Dream Park – a 20-plus baseball field complex – to Prescott. “I would like to make sure that gets tied up before I leave.””
